john says: Yes, but only to a certain extent... What about content? Since when has the 'content is king' philosophy taken second place to determining the quality of results in the search engines?
The pros say: Yes..., content is important to a web site's ranking, so one should keep the information relevant and and within the context of whatever the actaul site is about.
john says: John. This site is about helping find john. That's the content :-) There's lots of stuff here on this site with the word 'john' liberally sprinkled in for content. For fun, I decided to use ' john' as my qualifying term because
The pros say: It takes at least 6 months for a new web site to start showing up in the rankings. john says: helpfindjohn.com has been online since Jan 24, 2006 and as of Feb 14, 2006 has received 104 UNIQUE hits or visits - none from search engine spiders thus far. I am now starting a vigorous reciprocal linking program to see if www.helpfindjohn.com starts showing up in the search engines.
